PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX RATE
The Barren County Fiscal Court will hold a public hearing on the proposed property tax rate for Fiscal Year 2026–2027.
The tax rate levied for Fiscal Year 2025–2026 was 12.2 per $100 of assessed valuation and produced $3,686,953.00 in revenue.
The proposed tax rate for Fiscal Year 2026–2027 is 12.4 per $100 of assessed valuation and is expected to produce $3,966,056.00 in revenue.
The compensating tax rate for Fiscal Year 2026–2027 is 12.0 per $100 of assessed valuation and is expected to produce $3,838,118.00 in revenue.
Revenue expected from new property and personal property is $82,532.65
